Wonderfully smooth shave today. The Merkur Slant Bar with a Feather blade is just unbeatable. Used the QED Vanilla shaving stick, Simpson Chubby 1 Best brush. Smooth, easy, nick-free. Finished off with Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel. Great way to start the day.

I just bought the slant from Lee’s. Wow, what a shave! No nicks. I am using a Merkur blade, but I am looking forward to trying it with a Feather. I also just received my Moss scuttle. I have a silver tip brush I bought a few years back; sorry, I don’t know the make. It has a large full knot. I have always liked it, but the scuttle has brought out its full value. It can hold a load of wonderfully warm lather. The full combination has given me the best shave I have even had. Thanks for the forum. I needed a place to crow about it. My wife appears to be baffled by my excitement.
