Retouched photos: before and after
Click a photo to enlarge, then click the enlargement to switch back and forth between “before” and “after” — and yes, it’s quite obvious which is which.
Posts of interest to me: cooking, shaving, politics, science, cats, movies, books, ….

Written for the man who wants to enjoy his shave. User comment: "I bought this as a gift for my fiancé, along with a wet-shaving starting kit and a safety razor. He DEVOURED this book, and finds himself reading it again and again. He finally enjoys shaving. This book has helped him figure out so many things about wet shaving, and has recommended it to all of his friends and family. Truly a great source of information for any man."

This has long been a favorite site of mine. I first found it a few years back, when I was first having to do the professional’s job of retouching and was looking for a few guides online. It’s really amazing. Once you’ve seen what a talented retoucher can achieve, it’s impossible to look at photographs the same way anymore.
One of many reasons I love Flickr. 99.9% of the photos there are not retouched at all; half of them are barely labeled. Of course, the camera always does its own editing, but there’s something to be said for the only editor’s hand being a mechanized one.

I edit more than 90% of the photos I put on flickr. Although the edits are usually simple color/exposure adjustments, sometimes’ it’s more: removing a blemish or whitening teeth, etc.
