  1. The Dems need to be careful not to focus too much on how bad things are. Optimism sells. Better to focus on how much better things can be!

  2. Absolutely – unfortunately the next President (A Dem – see I’m optimisitic!) will inherit one heck of mess, by any metric. Republicans rape and pillage, Democrats rebuild.
