Lavender series: Castle Forbes
Small factoid: Castle Forbes Lavender shaving cream was exactly the cream used to produce the lather photographed on the cover of the book. This morning I used the Rooney Heritage Alibaba size 3 brush, which worked up a most excellent lather. I picked up a Gillette NEW that had a previously used Astra Superior Platinum blade and went to work: a really nice shave, smooth, easy, and nick-free. I almost skipped the Oil Pass, but decided to go with All Natural Shaving Oil from Pacific Shaving Company: it has the least oily feel of all I’ve tried, and I increasingly like it. (And it’s available in local stores such as Whole Foods.) Aftershave was Floris London JF.
Absolutely superb shave: 9.8. Very happy.
