Calculators (free)
My little Microsoft-supplied Calculator somehow got wiped from my computer (along with all the games—no more FreeCell for the moment), so I went looking for something better. The first I found (and the one I have probably used most) is pmaCalc. Very nice. But I also like the HP-16C simulation that I found, and I’m using it more of late. (Note the book at the link is quite complete—click the various tabs.) I do like Reverse Polish Notation.

I went and got the HP16C simulation. I agree it is very cool, but I have no real idea how to use it. RPN is not the problem. I can do basic calculations, but there is so much stuff beyond that and almost no instructions. ???

I did some Google searching on “HP 16C user manual” and found some links that seemed to contain manuals. Also, a search on “HP 16C” might turn up some user groups. Later I’ll do a more thorough explanation and post what I find.

I just broke down and bought a new HP35s scientific calculator. I’m sure that as I learn to use it, I will gain many insights into the use of the 16C emulator.
Thanks,
Tim
