Another travel shave
My photography is not very good this morning, but you may be able to make out the difference between yesterday’s travel razor (on the left) and today’s (on the right): the one on the right has the “shoulder” design (as in the Gillette NEW) that raises the edge of the blade a bit above the comb—and the comb is more curled over. In the razor on the left, the blade’s edge rests directly on the comb. I prefer the design on the right.
I loaded the razor on the right with a new Treet Black Beauty blade, and set about this shave:
I do love the Honeybee Spa Coffee Mocha, but today’s lather was not so good as usual. Not sure why. The brush? But the ebony-handled Sabini has always been good before. Maybe it’s just one of those things that prevent perfection from being a daily experience.
I have to say that, in these two shaves, the Treet Black Beauty has not been so fine as usual. Although today’s shave is quite smooth, I got a couple of nicks. I’ll have to try a Black Beauty in a regular razor for comparison. These travel razors are awfully light.
Still, a good shave overall, and I do like the Pashana finish.
