A shave from Portugal
All of the above save the razor came from VintageScent.com, currently on vacation until 30 August.—when he’ll return and found he forgot to renew his domain name. But I think he’ll soon be back in business— Quite a few shavers like his line of products. [Update because I had the wrong URL: it's only one scent: VintageScent.com]
The silvertip badger brush did a very good job at raising a lather from La Toja shave stick, which has a wonderful fragrance. A very nice three-pass shave left my face perfectly smooth and ready for La Toja aftershave, also very nice.
A completely satisfying shave, one of the little pleasures that bring a sparkle to the day.

Would you mind describing the scent of La Toja? actually, I would really like to hear a description of the fragrance of each of your daily shaves! Oh, and nice looking razor.

I would do it in a heartbeat if I could describe fragrances, but I am fragrance deaf: I know the ones I like, and occasionally I can detect components, but descriptions elude me. However, I can say that I like the La Toja fragrance. Well worth a try once his Web site is back up.

I too am scent deaf, but like what I like. My friend Tim from Texas, however, who is not, calls it ‘spraying gray flannel in a barbershop’
Which I think is brilliant.

I like that description a LOT. Brilliant, as you say.

I wish I could use the La Toja stick. I used it a couple of times and it irritated my face (burning sensation) when I rubbed it on. It created a nice thick lather, though. The scent was OK, but not terrific in my book. I’d say it was a very sharp, soapy scent – it reminded me of a more intense Erasmic shave stick scent (the original, discontinued tallow formulation).
