Extremely cool backup gun
I don’t blog guns much, but I had to share this extraordinarily cool and well-designed backup gun. It’s a 6-shot .357 Magnum revolver, and it fires from the bottom chamber (rather than the top, which is typical of a revolver). The result is that recoil is closer to the extended center of the arm so that the gun’s upward kick is significantly lessened. Photo is from this post at The Firearm Blog, where you can find more details.
UPDATE: When The Wife read this, she asked, “What’s a backup gun?” I (should have) told her, “It’s a gun you use when you want people to back up.”

Yech. Guns. Not a fan myself.

But in terms of design, this one seemed quite cool. And the one at the link, by the same designer, was particularly intriguing: an automatic revolver.
