Peonies—oops! Camellias (see comments)

When I took my walk yesterday I noticed that the peony camellia bushes just outside my apartment are starting to blossom. Here is one blossom:

  2. LOL. My botanical knowledge is (as you see) very very small. It took me forever to figure out the Banksia praemorsa I walk by. (I “figured it out” by a passerby pointing out that there was a sign on the fence telling about the plant.)

    Thanks for the correction. Camellias, eh. Who knew? (Well, you did, of course.)
