Book now available on Amazon

Unlike last time, they are not (yet) offering it at a discount. As you can see, they have not yet brought over the content that describes the book. This coming week, I imagine.

UPDATE: Well, that was fast. Next to be transferred will be the reader reviews. I hope.

  1. I got a Merkur slant on its way in the mail and am very curious how it performs. Looking forward to it.

Somewhat OT – How do you or others here clean your metal razors? I just soak mine for a bit in warm water and then scrub it with a toothbrush under the faucet, but wondering if that’s harmful to any plating over the long term that might be coating the metal.

  2. So long as you do not use an abrasive cleaner (e.g., Ajax or Comet cleansing powder) and instead use non-abrasive cleaners (e.g., Scrubbing Bubble, Bon Ami), you should be fine. Soaking the razors for a couple of hours in warm water to which you’ve added some white vinegar will remove hard-water deposits. Using a soft tootbrush is a good idea, particularly on knurled handles.
