The old-style Merkur Slant: Before and After “Razor Revamp”
Here’s “before”, from an earlier STOD post:

Here’s “after”:
Some of the Merkur heads are made of pot metal and cannot be plated. This razor has such a head, so the head is unplated (though polished and looking much better).

How can you tell if its pot metal underneath? And does it only apply to the heads of vintage Merkur razors? What are the handles made of? I’m quite curious

I don’t know the full details. Query the guys at Razor Emporium. The handles are brass, I believe.
