Shave report
I’m not doing a SOTD post on the trip. For one thing, it’s the same every day:
Prairie Creations Barbershop tallow-based shave stick
Muhle travel brush (black aluminum)
Feather Premium razor
Feather blade
Royal Copenhagen aftershave
For another, I can’t upload photos until I get home.
Nonetheless, I do want to comment on the excellence of the Muhle Travel Brush: extremely light, packs well, and lathers like a champ. Well worth your consideration if you travel.
One VERY frequent traveler with lots of packing and unpacking (an airline pilot) suggested that the nickel-plated brass is the best bet: the threads on the aluminum ones eventually wear out. But I’m just a regular traveler, and for me the aluminum works well.

I understand the rest of the setup, but why the Royal Copenhagen?

I found the Royal Copenhagen aftershave in a tiny bottle, so bought it for travel. And, as it turns out, I rather like it, so I’ll probably buy a bigger bottle when I get home.

Did you mail the blades ahead of time again or did you pay the checked baggage fee?

Out of an abundance of caution, I did both.
Actually, I did mail some supplies ahead, but I also paid the checked luggage fee because I didn’t want to struggle with the suitcase along the way—in this case, a good decision, I think. So I also had blades in there. I’ll pay the same damned fee going home because I want to bring home some of that Robinson’s Lemon Barley Water stuff.
