A very nice shave using Klar Seifen shaving soap and aftershave. A really terrific lather, thanks to the Omega 643167, and then the Elite Razor with a previously used Astra Keramik blade provided three smooth and trouble-free passes. Very nice.

I just ordered a TOBS synthetic brush based on your book and online review at B&B… I hope it’s worth the $81 it costs shipped.

My experience with the “artificial badger” brushes is that the knots all seem identical, with the only difference being the handle. So the $25 Omega 643167 and the $81 TOBS will have the same knot. I’m sorry if I’ve not made that clear.

Here is the synthetic review on B&B http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=105486&highlight=synthetic
I realize that the authors top 4 brushes are the same as your top 4 synthetic brushes in the book. I figured I will end up buying them all eventually perhaps not the Men-U because the handle is light and it is not considered a “traditional” company.

Many thanks for the link. As it turned out, I didn’t much care for the Chatsworth handle. YMMV.
