Another French razor
Another gift from The Wife, this Gerson razor with a horn handle carries what appears to be a Mühle head, using the design developed with Neil Jagger. Not sure, though. At any rate, it shaves quite well on a beard softened with Yardley shaving soap. A splash of Pashana, and I’m ready to go.

hello neighbor (I live in Pacifc Grove) love the site and would LOVE to know more about how to my hands on those French Razors…. Between your site and B&B my DE disorder is taking it rightful place on my bathroom counter.

What I did was ask my wife to pick me up a Joris while she was in Paris. And lo! she returned with three!
You can also get Joris razors from Royal Shave, I believe. Yes: take a look.

I’m a bit behind on your posts so permit me also to comment on the Omega Pro 49 brush (your February 3rd shave).
This very economical (just over $10) brush has been as efficient for me as my number one producer, a Lucretia Borgia, with one small difference…takes slightly longer to generate lots of great lather…but the small additional time has not been enough to cause complaint. I don’t know if there’s been a difference among Pro 49 samples but I haven’t read any negative reviews…indeed every one thus far has been laudatory.
I mention this because you may want to consider, as you did with my comment on razors, to offer newcomers two suggestions in different price ranges…the Syntex 643167 in the $25 category and the Pro 49 in the $10 dollar range.
