Otoko and the iKon
An extremely nice lather from the Otoko this morning, thanks to the TOBS artificial-badger brush and my taking the time to load the brush fully. Nice fresh fragrance to the Otoko, too. Three passes with the iKon, my Swedish Gillette blade starting to tug, and then a splash of Pashana. Time for a blade change…

Mr Leisure person can you please do some reviews of some different soaps like Crownshaving, The Gentlemens Refinery, etc. There are some really good soaps out there. Most of the soaps you use of have alot of chemicals in them that are not the best for the skin. Are you only doing soap of review for people sending you soap gratis for the book?

I don’t actually do formal reviews as such. I simply use some soaps and write about my experiences with them. I didn’t realize that the Gentlemens Refinery sold a shaving soap, and I can’t find it on their site. Could you provide a link?
Perhaps you’re new to the blog: I regularly use TOBS, Geo. F. Trumper, Honeybee Soaps, QED, Mama Bear, D.R. Harris, Floris, and others. Are you sure these have “alot” of chemicals that are bad for the skin?
As I note, I buy the products. Occasionally some vendor will enclose a sample soap in the order, but I think that’s generally done. By and large, I purchase the products, and I purchase them to use.
