Italian judge shows outright stupidity

Can you believe this story? Seven scientists convicted of manslaughter because they didn’t predict an earthquake? My jaw drops. I wonder if they will convict politicians for not heeding warnings of global warming—that seems more appropriate.

I have to believe that this verdict will be summarily overturned on appeal and the judge, I hope, disciplined.
