Mike’s Natural and the Pro 48
Extremely smooth shave, and it began with the lather. Mike’s Natural seems to take an unnatural amount of water, but the lather you ultimately get is very nice indeed. I used the soaking wet Pro 48 to begin loading, and then added even more water. I got a thick creamy lather that easily lasted for the three passes I do.
My Silvertone razor with the Kai blade did a fine job, and then a splash of sample #2 finished the shave. This is a pleasant aftershave, but I like #1 better.

Do you bowl lather once the brush is charged?
I enjoy your shaving blog.

I once bowl-lathered but have not for several years: face-lather only now.

I have some Mike’s on order. Looking forward to trying. It is my first attempt at a soap since I am pretty new and have only used creams (bowl lather) so far.

I think you may find this post of interest. It took me quite a while to figure out that soap. Others (Strop Shoppe, Mystic Waters, HoneybeeSoaps.net, Queen Charlotte, et al.) were no problem at all, but Mike’s was unusual. I like it, though, now that I’ve figured out how to lather it.
