Cool shave
Good shave, though not fully BBS, using my Mühle silverfiber (synthetic) brush and Queen Charlotte Soaps Vostok as the shaving soap: a highly mentholated soap, for those who like that sort of thing. I’m a little iffy about mentholated soaps/shaving creams, but I was curious. The lather, though, was superb.
I used my Gillette 1940′s Aristocrat (late 1940′s) with a Swedish Gillette blade, one that seems to be past its prime and will now be replaced. I just got a 5-pack of Personna Labs, so I’ll try one of those.
The use of the Mühle silverfiber brush and the Aristocrat is due to discussions on Wicked_Edge, which suggest things to try in the morning shave.

How did you the synthetic fibre brush compare?
I was thinking of getting one to live in my travel bag.

It’s closest in character to a silvertip badger brush, and in terms of feel and performance is indistinguishable. That is, the differences among silvertip badgers brushes are enough so that the Mühle silverfiber would fit right in as one of those. Extremely good brush, overall.
