Today’s soap: Special 218, of course
Special 218 has long been a favorite shaving soap, and I need to use it more frequently—but I can say that about many of the soaps. I have burdened myself with too much variety.
Today I once again produced a superb lather by using the Rooney Style 2 Finest, a cushiony brush that becomes almost a ball when filled with lather. The fragrance of Special 218 is particularly appealing to me—dark and mysterious—and the Bakelite Slant once again delivered a superbly comfortable and BBS shave with no trace of burn or irritation, today using an Astra Superior Platinum blade.
A good splash of Saint Charles Shave Woods aftershave, and the holiday is launched.
If you have too many of everything, there are two strategies that come to mind. #1 – shave twice daily. #2 – send some to me, I can help relieve you of your burden.
