Avoid 1-Click Shopping If You Have Parkinson’s …

leave a comment »

I just received my copy of Avoid 1-Click Shopping If You Have Parkinson’s …and many other tips for dealing with Parkinson’s Disease, by my friend Mr. Beetner. I haven’t finished it yet, but what I’ve read so far is terrific: a helpful book that faces reality with humor. If you know someone who’s been diagnosed, they might well like a copy—take a look and see what you think.

Parkinson’s, BTW, is strongly correlated with aging (though it can strike even the young: Michael J. Fox, for example) because the cells that produce dopamine eventually die. So the longer you live, the greater the chances for being diagnosed with Parkinson’s. With longevity increasing in most developed countries, we’ll see more instances.
