Happy St. Patrick’s Day

with one comment

New Yorkers, it turns out, must walk a lot. I’m interested to see fitness statistics for this city vs., say, Los Angeles. I’m exhausted. And slushy water at the corners—lucky I borrowed boots for the trip up here. I’m going to have to work out a quiet day to recover, since most of my walking has been from room to room: not too long a trip, and I sit down at the end. Still, got to see interesting sights, and especially enjoyed seeing CCNY where The Son teaches. The original buildings, placed out in the country  beyond New York (at the time, are modeled on Oxford University. It was a great moment to see on The Son’s office door his name preceded by “Professor.”

Nelly has been staying out of sight, but I did see her this morning. She’s grown much heftier, but still quite self-possessed.

Tonight we have corned beef and cabbage. 🙂
