  1. Hi Michael, I want to know your opinion about shaving cream with no generation of lather (to use without a brush). I was using a brush all the year, but the creams that we have here in Rosario, Argentina, are only Palmolive, Nivea, and Gillette, and sometimes they don´t work well enough for my face.
With that in mind, I decided to buy a cream made here named Surfaktivo, and give it a try again, because I used it several years ago.
The cream is very heavy on the razor (I use a SuperSpeed made in England, I think they call it Rocket, with Schick blades) and I miss the lathered brush on my face (its a makeup brush I took from my mother, hehe, because we have no badger brushes, at least on my city, only sinthetic and are a little harsh on the skin) but the results are pretty amazing. The shave is very, very close, more close than with any cream or soap I used, and the skin feels totally protected, although sometimes feels too dry shaving that way. The package says that is specially formulated to shave 1 or 2 times a day.
Well, that´s all. Congratullations for an excellent shaving site and thank you for your attention.
    Fabio.

  2. I don’t like most brushless shaving creams, but there are two that I do: Nancy Boy (which can also be used with a brush) and Avalon Organics (brush doesn’t work). You can Google those and find suppliers.

The Rocket’s a good razor. That shaving cream you have sounds quite good.

  4. I’ve read about some problems, but fortunately I have been lucky with all the Simpsons I’ve bought: no problems at all. (The same with the Merkur razors: reports of problem, yet I’ve not had a problem with any of mine. Perhaps I live under a lucky star.)

  5. Hi Mark. Your site is amazing too, and the videos are great. Thanks to both of you for all the useful info on shaving.
