Sandalwood Vanilla

A Mama Bear soap this morning: Sandalwood Vanilla, which produced an excellent lather with the aid of the Rooney Style 2. A Gillette English Aristocrat, with a plain bar rather than open-comb, carrying a previously used Iridium Super blade provided an easy and smooth shave, and the aftershave was TOBS Sandalwood, as you expected. 🙂

It occurred to me as I enjoyed the sensation of the razor gliding smoothly through the stubble, that perhaps we are mistaken in reassuring people that the safety razor is easy to use and provides pleasant nick-free shaves. Maybe we should embrace the great danger we face each morning as we put blade to face and acknowledge our courage and determination in shaving in such a manner. It’s nothing that the craven should contemplate, no. It’s is for the vigorous and the pinnacle of manhood.
