Cats and dogs

with 2 comments

I see that Obama plans to buy a puppy for his daughters. Puppies are all very well, but I personally would have thought that a couple of kittens would have been better. Cats (including kittens) have (in my mind) some significant advantages over dogs. First—and a biggie—cats (and kittens) purr. Dogs bark, of course, but it’s hardly the same, is it? When you’re feeling a little down, you can pick up a kitty and pet it, and when it begins to purr, everything seems better. Purring is magic. Barking is the opposite.
