I couldn’t believe it when I saw this last week. Word has it that she has been suspended indefinitely. She’s prohibited from taking part in practice, conditioning and games.

In her apology statement she says that she let her “emotions get the best of her.” I think it goes a bit deeper than that. There’s a difference between letting your emotions and competitive spirit get the best of you and you play a little rougher than usual because more is at stake and then going out and doing what she did. That was just plain bullying.

In watching her, she doesn’t really seem to have much emotion: the actions seem quite cold-blooded and premeditated. Look at her face as she throws the other woman to the ground by pulling her pony-tail. Frightening.
