You know….sometimes there’s such a thing as too much information! I was already hooked to get a Nook, but now am so confused by all the choices and technologies behind them that I don’t think I’ll buy anything. I know you’ve been researching these for quite some time. What do you recommend for ease of use, paper-like visibility, and battery life?

I think they’re not quite there. I suggest waiting one more year.

Great advice, the Kommandant of this Kamp in particular thanks you as she is always wary of my impending purchases. Oh, well, there’s still the Leica M9 waiting in the wings! And my new pair of Alden genuine shell cordovan Chukka boots just arrived from the Alden Store in San Francisco (a model made exclusively for them) – absolutely gorgeous work of Art – I’m almost hesitant to wear them! 🙂

Last night The Wife and I had a conversation about book digitization and the drawbacks—she’s very actively involved in this in her job—and I’ll be blogging about it.
