The GOP reveals its vision, and its constituency reject it angrily
It’s a long road that has no turning. What’s interesting is how angry the GOP rank and file seem to be—well, they’ve been angry for quite a while, and their leaders have stoked and directed that anger, but now the anger seems to be turn on the leaders who were manipulating the voters. Once the realization hit the GOP constituency, they reacted as people usually react when they’ve been lied to and taken to the cleaners.
UPDATE: More about the revolt of the rank and file in this report in the NY Times: House G.O.P. Members Face Voter Anger Over Budget
The rank and file Conservatives will undoubtedly attempt to throw out the GOP Senators and Representatives who are not conservative enough. This natural process will greatly help the Liberals to retake control of the House and retain control of the Senate. The amazing thing is that once the Liberals reconquer the Congress, they will undergo the same natural process as the Conservatives which will help the GOP in their efforts to control the Congress.

Interesting how the same account can be read so differently by two people. In my reading, the GOP constituency are angry at their Senators and Representatives because those representatives are being too conservative, shutting down Medicare (in effect), increasing tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy, and the like. The constituents seem to want a more liberal approach.
Can you point me to the part where the GOP rank and file felt that their representatives and senators were not being conservative enough?
