Climate change and extreme weather

with one comment

Scientists working on climatology and climate change have long predicted that one result would be storms of greater severity. I haven’t seen any comments on the amazing storm systems through the South that saw their severity as a symptom of global warming, but it was certainly a predicted consequence. And the storms will get worse as we continue to heat the globe with our CO2 emissions.

  1. **These storms are all part of the historical global cycling of the earth’s natural climatic evolution. We think it’s unique because our own recorded time-frame is so short. One volcanic eruption produces more CO2 than all human activity for the last 200 years. Scientists are divided right down the middle on the role of human beings in global warming. Besides, should we stop working and living and go back to sticks and stones just to reduce global warming (if it even exists!)?
