Take a look at WestCoastRazors.com. They also do stunning restorations, like this Fat Boy replated in black nickel and rhodium:

  1. I’m a little conflicted on this one. The name is obviously similar to a well-established vendor and the cynical part of me wonders if it was done on purpose to “poach” customers. Not to mention the line at the top of the web page that says it’s a demo and no orders will be fulfilled….

  2. West Coast Razors and West Coast Shaving are just two among many thousands of busineeses in California using “West Coast”. Their focus seems to be quite different, however, which will hopefully minimize confusion. I have not seen any fireworks over the issue, and the West Coast Razors website has been online for at least a year. Look at the 19 January 2012 capture on archive.org and there is a stunning Gillette adjustable toggle razor for sale. The “This is a demo” notice is almost invisible, and the shopping cart appears to be operational.

But $90 for a replated black nickel Gillette 195? That seems a little high to me, especially given that vintage razor prices appear to be declining. But that is just my take.

Leisureguy, thanks for posting that link.
