  1. Very tough on the joints. Most of my runner friends have had early knee replacements. In fact, the age of implantation has dropped dramatically as boomer runners have entered their 50’s and 60’s. I did a big project for the world’s largest implant company a couple of years back, so learned a lot about it. Bike is much better. Swimming even better.

  2. Well, I was thinking more of shuffling along, but The Wife insists I ask the doctor first. So I’ll be walking more—but I might take a few brisk steps now and then.

    Hmm. I live near the beach and sand is soft. I could run on that. [Just joking: I know. It would be like the snow-shoveling contest for senior citizens.]

  4. LOL. Well, there are certainly senior surfers, but they started out in their teens, and I refuse to return to my adolescent years…
