Once a great shave: Institut Karité all the way

Institut Karité uses a high percetage of shea butter in their products, and thus they are kind to your skin: protective and moisturizing. The balm is also a good bargain: though it costs around $30 (like l’Occitane’s Cade balm, Alt-Innsbruck Pre- and Post-Shave balm, and Primalan’s almond-oil-based balm, with IK you get 250 ml rather than 100 ml. And you need only a tiny dab: about the size the head of a strike-anywhere match. I particularly recommend this balm as an aftershave for those who shave their legs.

The H.L. Thäter brush is one of my best brushes, and it had no problem in working up a wonderful lather from the IK soap. Three smooth passes with the Eclipse Red Ring razor holding a Personna Lab Blue blade, and I easily got a BBS result with no nicks or irritation. A tiny bit of the balm, and the weekend begins.
