BBS with a Schick Krona—and
Really excellent shave today, and a fine lather.
I used my Mühle silverfiber synthetic brush, which pretty much matches my Mühle silvertip in performance. Hardy Shave Products sent me a few complimentary samples, and this morning I tried the one shown above: Sweet Orange Tea Tree, which turned out to be dynamite. I have a couple of orange shaving soaps, but it’s a difficult fragrance: it tends to come off as too sweet, like putting orange juice on your face. But the added Tea Tree oil straightens it up and backs it off, and the aroma has a definitely more masculine character. I liked this one and lot, but when I went to order: out of stock! (Of course: look at the date.)
Happy with the lather, I picked up the Schick Krona and went to work. Although the Krona is a relatively mild razor, like the 1940s Super Speed, it easily wiped off the stubble. After the shave, I checked which blade: aha! a Feather. That brand is good for me in mild razors.
A good splash of the Ogallala Sandalwood Bay Rum (after shaking the bottle well). Feeling good and ready for the day.
