Extremely nice shave on a cold morning

“Cold” is relative, of course: the “cold” of California’s Central Coast is not the “cold” of, say, northern Manitoba. Still, it is brisk here.

So another fine lather from I Coloniali shaving soap. A commented on this blog let me know that the problems I once had with the soap were simply because I was not working enough water in the brush during the loading, and once I did that, the problems vanished and the soap turns out to be excellent.

Today the Fine Accoutrement angel-hair synthetic worked up a very nice lather indeed, and the Above the Tie S1 head on a UFO handle provide a pleasurable experience and a BBS result. A small drop of D.R. Harris Pink After Shaving Milk completed the shave.

  1. Michael, you continue to amaze me with the breadth of your knowledge – few outside of Canada are aware of how cold it gets in Manitoba generally and Northern Manitoba specifically. If you ever get into a debate with someone about how cold it was when you were growing up, the debate is instantly conceded once you’re told the person grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They know cold.

I also enjoy the I Coloniali soap, it is vey nice.
