Wolf Whiskers (a synthetic wolf, in this case), Martin de Candre, the Wunderbar, and Chatillon Lux (with a reference)
The brush is as good as any Plissoft brush in the knot, and the handle is attractive and comfortable, and today it made a very fine lather from Martin de Candre shaving soap.
The Wunderbar did a fine job—absolutely BBS—though with two small nicks. I am putting it aside for a while, and I’ll try a different brand of blade when I resume. I’m fairly sure that with more practice with the razor and a brand of blade that’s good in the razor the minor nicks will vanish. As of now, however, the X3 (and the 102) are more comfortable.
On Wicked Edge today there’s a lengthy and interesting review of the Chatillon Lux post-shave preparations, and that prompted me to bring out my Chatillon Lux Champs de Lavande, a good pairing with the Martin de Candre.
