Dr. Jon’s Propaganda, with Vie-Long horsehair brush and the Dorco PL-602

I got the little horsehair brush back when Pogonotomy.com was an active forum. It’s a good little brush, though I like the other horsehair brushes better, so this will probably be sold as I trim down.

Still, it did a fine job with Dr. Jon’s handcrafted Propaganda: vanilla, sandalwood, musk, patchouli, and mandarin. The lather was excellent, including the fragrance.

The Dorco PL-602 is a truly excellent razor in terms of comfort (extremely comfortable) and efficiency (extremely efficient). A novice would find this an excellent razor, forgiving and efficient, and a practiced shaver will admire the quality of the shave and the shave experience. Really worth getting when you’re inclined to get another razor, with an outstanding performance:price ratio.

A good splash of La Toja, and the day begins.

  1. I have not used this razor but judging from various pictures it seems to bend the blade a lot just like Razorock Baby Smooth. Do you think they both have similar geometry?

  2. No real idea, but in terms of feel and performance, they are very closely matched.
