Flat-bottom Tech to auction

with 4 comments

Flat Tech side

This flat-bottom Tech is now up for auction. It’s a great razor, and this head on one of the Maggard stainless handles (like the MR7, $14) would be a great daily shave.

  1. I remember when you acquired this one – it wasn’t so very long ago. I respect the job you’re doing clearing all of these things out.

  2. Any specific reason that you don’t ship to Canada?

And not specifically for this razor, but in general how are you liking the bids you’re getting on the razors you’ve sold?

  3. Mainly to avoid having to fill out customs forms and because of uncertainty about amount of postage.

I think some people have gotten really good bargains, and none of the prices paid seemed unusually high. The Apollo Mikron surprised me by its low price. I earlier sold another Mikron, a much less nicer model, for twice the amount. The rhodium-plated President went for $35, which seems low to me, but obviously is what the market will pay. The English Heavy-Duty Rocket went for $20, which seemed quite low to me. Others seem more or less okay.

  4. My thinking is in line with yours – some of those razors have gone cheap!
