Trump: “It is not “freedom of the press” when newspapers and others are allowed to say and write whatever they want even if it is completely false!”
While I’m not really surprised that Trump doesn’t listen to what he says (quite understandable, in my opinion), I am a little taken aback that he has such strong feelings against false statements, given his record and all. (Recently his deer-in-the-headlights spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, said that the U.S. was not in Afghanistan until Obama invaded. Really.)
“Train wreck” doesn’t even begin to describe Donald Trump. Or his campaign.
But I am heartened (and, I admit, surprised) to learn that he opposes false statements so strongly. Perhaps he’ll quit making them.
