A summer storm with The Holy Black

leave a comment »

I continue to enjoy that Plisson European Grey badger with it coarse feel: no prickly, but coarse, like an oatmeal soap. And Chiseled Face’s Summer Storm is always a good soap but particularly nice on warm summer days because of the hint of menthol as well as the season-appropriate fragrance.

Three passes with The Holy Black’s slant, the head a clone of the Merkur 37, left my face smooth and comfortable. I have grown accustomed to, and even fond of, the hefty little handle. It’s the same length as the Merkur 37 handle but gives the illusion of being stubby because of the greater diameter and the greater heft.

A splash of Summer Storm, and the day begins, with the weekend dead ahead.
